The 2026 SIP conference will be held on August 19-21, 2026 at Storrs, CT. The 2026 SIP conference aims to introduce drug development and a career in the pharmaceutical industry and regulatory agency to students and other professionals in quantitative fields, especially statistics and data sciences. This two-day conference + 1 day short course will connect the conference participants, especially the students, to the world of clinical statistics and showcase how statistics contributes to different phases and aspects of drug development and to improvement of patient lives. The topics will range from traditional statistical problems in clinical trials to the cutting-edge approaches of data sciences. The conference will also provide an introductory course to undergraduate and graduate students worldwide who are interested in statistics and data sciences as their future career.

About UConn Department of Statistics
The Department of Statistics at the University of Connecticut was founded in 1962. As one of the major statistics departments in New England, it provides outstanding preparation for careers in academia, industry, or government. As of 2024, we have a core faculty of 24 members whose teaching and research expertise span virtually all major specializations in statistical science. The department has both national and international reputation in undergraduate and graduate education, research, and service to the profession.
